• Freshman: Individuals who have graduated from or will graduate from an accredited high school, homeschool, or have obtained a GED before enrolling at PVAMU.​ Please visit our How to Apply page for Freshman Admissions for more information.  

• Transfer: Students who have attended an accredited college or university and have earned at least 15 transferable semester credit hours with a cumulative GPA of 2.00 or better from the last institution attended. Please visit our How to Apply page for Transfer Admissions for more information.

• International Students: Non-US Citizens or Non-US Permanent Residents who wish to enroll at PVAMU. Please visit our How to Apply page for International Admissions for more information. If you wish to apply, please complete an application through ApplyTexas and pay the required application fee.

• Former Students who have previously attended Prairie View A&M University but have not enrolled for one or more semesters and wish to return must submit a Readmit application.

• Transient student is a student who is currently enrolled and in good standing at another college or university, and who seeks temporary admission to Prairie View A&M University—typically for one semester or summer term. Admission as a transient student is granted upon completion and approval of the application. If you wish to apply, please complete an application through ApplyTexas and pay the required application fee.
